Inspecting your business
Before setting a destination and creating your sustainability route plan, you need to know where you are.
An "inspection" is the perfect starting point for your sustainable journey. It helps build a picture of your current impact. Giving us insight into any obstacles you need help removing.
It’s like going on a treasure hunt, where we set out to find the hidden strengths of your business.
With our inspection, we can go into as much, or as little, detail as your business is ready for.
Regardless of your impact, the inspection establishes a baseline that we use as the foundation for building your plan going forward.
Give us a call to find out how an inspection could help your business start its sustainability journey or to find out how you’re doing.

Without a clear understanding of your existing impact, you won’t be able to measure and show how much you achieve in the future.
Depending on your needs, a baseline can include a carbon footprint analysis, a stakeholder review, a business impact review or a suitable combination that is appropriate to you.
Think of it like ripping off a plaster – once it’s done, the most painful bit is over!
-
Maybe you've thought about calculating your carbon footprint in the past – then put it off as being too complicated and time consuming. Or, is it just something on your the ‘wish list’ for another day.
We'll untangle the process for you by crunching the data to discover your impact whilst creating an achievable reduction plan backed by facts. All with your unique business in mind.
One of the first steps in understanding how to tackle GHG emissions is to undertake a “carbon footprinting” exercise. This measures the extent of your emissions - looking at where CO2, and a range of other GHGs, come from.
Understanding what to measure and how to gather the correct data can be overwhelming. Don't worry, that's what we're for.
-
Understanding the risks associated with your environmental and social impacts is the first step in protecting your business and turning those risks into opportunities.
Future-proof your business by taking ownership of your impacts, finding out where you want to go and the results you want to achieve.
-
Simply put, who cares?
It might be your employees, clients, investors or regulatory bodies. To create a resilient plan, you need to understand the groups who have a vested interest in your performance, and why.
For us, stakeholder mapping is like putting together puzzle pieces. It helps us to see who’s involved and how they all fit together to make the bigger picture.

Integrating a B Impact Assessment (BIA) into your sustainability roadmap can be a useful (free) resource, even if you're not aiming for full B-Corp certification.
We use the BIA to evaluate your business’s environmental, social and governance practices. Finding your existing strengths and highlighting areas for improvement.
If you decide to go for full certification, the BIA can guide the development of targeted initiatives. It promotes transparency and aligns businesses with a recognised sustainability standard, signalling an ongoing commitment to responsible practices.
How we work
It all begins with an idea. With an initial (free) conversation about your ideas and how we might be able to help.
Using 1:1 sessions, questionnaires, conversations and workshops, we discover what drives your business, what energises your workforce and why customers join (and stay with) you. We look at your current and past situation to build the picture.
To plot the course of where your business is going, we need to know where you are now, and that's why we do an inspection.
